Beatrice M. Griffiths Obituary

Beatrice M. "Bea" Griffiths, 94, of Rockport and formerly of Norwell, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024. Born on October 13, 1929, she was a few weeks from her 95th birthday.

Born in Boston, Bea graduated from the Vesper George School of Art in Boston. She practiced her art of leaded glass pieces by designing, manufacturing by hand, and selling her work along the coast of New England for decades. Most recently, specializing in the art of Rockport: Motif #1, sailboats, and lighthouses.

Bea is survived by her three sons John, James, and Jerry Griffiths, and Jerry's wife Lyda, as well as her brother Roy Miller; and grandchildren Katherine, Zachary, Kassidy and Emma. Bea also leaves many dear close friends.

Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to: "Friends of the Rockport Council on Aging", 58 Broadway, Rockport, MA 01916; "Rockport Art Association", 12 Main St., Rockport, MA 01916; "First Congregational Church of Rockport", 12 School St., Rockport, MA 01916.
