He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Madden and Cecilia Madden (Connelly); his sisters, Mary and Katherine; and his sister-in-law Beatrice H. Strong.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. (Strong); his children, James J. Madden (Jennifer) of Rockland, Lisa M. Martin (Matthew) of Rockland, Christopher J. Madden of Rockland and Michele E. Doll (James) of Carver; his grandchildren, Shannon, Nicole, Colleen, Kelly, Matthew, Owen, Jessika, Frederick and Emma; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Michael, William and Thomas; his siblings, John Madden of Stow and Helen "Nellie" Mason of Swampscott; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Morin (Dyanne) of Weymouth and Jeanne Morin of Rockland.
