It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael J. Kauranen of Rochester, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Kauranen (Chandler) and Uuno N. Kauranen; and his daughter Sherri Ashley. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kauranen (Stowe) of Rochester; his children, Terri Vroom (Charles) of Wareham, Kerri Correia of Rochester, Michael J. Kauranen, Jr. (Melissa) of Wareham and Mark Kauranen (Michelle) of New Bedford; and his siblings, Maureen Rounds of Wareham, Kevin Kauranen of Wareham and Robert Grassi of Wareham. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
