She was predeceased by: her husband Guido Gennari; her sons, James V. Gennari (Ann Marie) of Lynn and Vincent G. Gennari; and her siblings, Louis J. Zirpolo, Peter Zirpolo, Grace Celeste, John Zirpolo, Anna Dorato and Joseph Zirpolo.

She is survived by: her child Vinnie; her grandson Jimmy; her daughter Valerie A. Pennington (Mark) of Wakefield; her grandchildren, James V. Gennari Jr. (Kristen) of Westwood, Janel Kennedy (late Christopher Kennedy) of Lynn, Dean Pennington (Gina) of Hudson, NH, Carla Zaccardo (Daniel) of Leominster, Melissa Gennari of Fairfield, CT, Colleen Gennari of Fairfield, CT and Vincent G. Gennari Jr.; her great grandchildren, Francesa, Bianca, Miles, Valentina, Charlotte, Dominic and Anthony; her siblings, Anthony "Junior" Zirpolo, Marion Zirpolo, Richard Zirpolo and Frank Zirpolo; and her friends, Arlene Gennari, Judith and Maggie. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

“As an only child I spent a lot of time with my grandmother, Nana loved to cook; and was always fussing over us to eat. Nothing gave her greater joy than to be surrounded by her family and feeding us. My grandmother's refrigerator and her 2-freezers were always stuffed with food, just in case someone stopped by. It was her way of showing her love. Thank you Nana for always loving me unconditionally.”
