He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Luis and Margarita Umana (Portillo); and his brother Alfonso Umana. He is survived by: his spouse Orlanda Umana; his children, Gloria Oliveira (Jose), Arely Moz (Jorge), Lilian Umana (Jose), Flora Martinez (Mauro), Lorena Umana, Margarita Umana (Daniel), Jesy Umana (Noe) and Jose Umana (Erma); and his siblings, Victoria and Ladia Morales. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
