He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Joyce and Helen Joyce (Kersey); his sister Patricia; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth A. Gouveia (Joseph). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Joyce (Weymouth); his child Caitlin Joyce; his siblings, Thomas (Lena), Robert (Sue) and Theodore (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Kevin J. Weymouth, James A. Weymouth, Jr. (Joan), Maureen L. Guild (Thomas), Thomas R. Weymouth (Donna Jaggard) and Nancy M. White (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
