She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Ryan; her parents, Evelyn McGrath and Howard McGrath; her brothers, Howard and Rick McGrath; and her daughter Patty Gifford.
She is survived by: her children, Bob, Georgia and Marilyn; her sisters, Pat and Janice; and her grandchildren, Alex, Matthew and Kordell.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ernest P. Caggiano & Son Funeral Home (147 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (320 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at the Winthrop Cemetery (100 Kennedy Rd, Winthrop, MA 02152).
When her mother Evelyn's Alzheimer's disease progressed, Barbara brought her into her home to care for her as long as possible.
