He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael A. DeCata and Dorothy DeCata (Volpe); and his brother Ralph DeCata. He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph DeCata of Revere, Elizabeth Polino (James) of Winthrop and Paul DeCata of Swampscott; his nephews, James Polino Jr. and Jonathan Polino (Miranda); and his great-uncles, Dominic, Dante, Jonathan and Julian Polino.
