She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Shapiro and Anne Shapiro; and her brother Milton "Mickey" Shapiro. She is survived by: her husband David Samost; her children, Marla Samost (Simon), Scott Samost (late Carol), Randy Samost (Mary) and Todd Samost (Karen); her grandchildren, Aubrey, Christopher, Tyler, Jared, Matthew, Daniel, Andrew, Naomi and Jacob; and her great grandchild Abigail. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
