He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Smiley and Blanche O. Smiley (Goodwin); and his siblings, Harold B. Smiley, June Alix and Philip Smiley.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald G. Smiley, Jr. (Lori) of Richmond, VA, Dennis Smiley (Diane) of Loudon, TN, Barry Smiley of Cumberland, RI, Philip Smiley (Ann) of Pawtucket, RI and Particia Ann Machado (Marc) of Loudon, TN. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
