He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Hayes and Mary Hayes (Mellan); and his brother John, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, David J. Hayes of Reading and Annmarie Hayes of Lynnfield; his grandchildren, Casey Hayes of Burlington and Alexander Hayes of Lynnfield; and his siblings, Robert Hayes, Kathy Pfingston, Betsy Fishman, James, Patricia Hayes and Judith Bosanac. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
