He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. Mahoney and Freda M. Mahoney (Carlton); his wife Eleanor M. "Ellie" Mahoney (Maguire); and his siblings, Carlton Mahoney, Evelyn Cohen, Phyllis Cusick, Joseph Mahoney and Francis X. Mahoney.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin T. Mahoney (Edy) of Burlington, Brian G. Mahoney (Carole), Anne Kinteris (Christopher) of Reading and Robert C. Mahoney, Jr. (Greg Condakes) of Ogunquit, ME.; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Caitlin, Megan, Jade, Jamie, Chloe, Keegan, Shane and Phoenix.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home (25 Sanborn St, Reading, MA 01867). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Agnes Church (186 Woburn St, Reading, MA 01867).
