He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Doherty and Madeleine Doherty; and his siblings, Sheila Tompkins, James and Thomas Doherty.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia A. Doherty (Foster); his children, Sharon Tegan (David) of North Kingstown, RI and Noel Eric Doherty (Delphine) of Woburn; and his grandchildren, Noelle, Owen, Nathan and Drew. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
