It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Hurley of Reading, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Grady and Ellen Grady; her husband Frank; and her brother James Grady (Jim). She is survived by: her children, Edward Hurley (Patricia) of Pittsboro, NC, Daniel Hurley (Tonnie) of Tucson, AZ, Joseph Hurley (Virginia) of Victor, NY, Peg White (Thomas) of Scotia, NY, John Hurley (Faith) of Annandale, VA and Eileen Doherty (David) of Wakefield, MA.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (231 2nd St, Scotia, NY 12302). A burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery (2501 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Schenectady, NY 12309).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
