He was predeceased by: his parents, Eranus Strom and Hazel Strom (Davis); and his siblings, Sherm Strom and Bruce Strom. He is survived by: his wife Antoinette R. Strom (Fratoni); his sons, Michael W. Strom of Waldoboro and Matthew D. Strom (Carmelia) of Seekonk; his grandchildren, Tyler Strom, Emily Strom, Andrew Strom, Benjamin Strom and Matthew Strom; and his great grandchildren, Liliana Grace and Tyler "TJ".

In lieu of flowers, Williams family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215 or to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
