He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Arruda (Aranjo); his parents, Antone Arruda and Josephine Arruda (Kuzcek); his son Robert A. Arruda, Jr.; and his brother Anthony Arruda.

He is survived by: his children, Russell A. Arruda and Laurie Teixeira; his grandson Ryan Teixeira; and his brother Adrian Arruda.
