He was predeceased by: his parents, Casimiro Fernandes and Mary Fernandes (Correia); and his siblings, Bernardo Fernandes and Beatrice Gonsalves. He is survived by: his wife Edna M. Fernandes (Paige); his children, Joseph Fernandes, Brian Fernandes, Gary Fernandes and Gail Santos; and his siblings, Daniel Fernandes, Irene Connors, Francisco Fernandes and Deolinda Brackett. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to , Saint Jude Children's Hospital in Joseph's memory, would be deeply appreciated.
