She was predeceased by: her parents, William James and Frances Finnerty, Jr. (Grinkievich); and her sibling Jean LaCivita (Carl) of South Easton. She is survived by: her husband George R. King, Jr.; her children, Michael King (Stephanie) of Taunton, Victoria King of Las Vegas, Veronica King of Fall River and Nicole King of Raynham; her grandchildren, Madelyn, Finnley, Declan, Francesca and Arrow; and her siblings, Jill Finnerty (Tom DePalma) of Taunton and Jeffrey Finnerty (Jacqueline) of Falmouth.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may remember Joan with a donation in her memory made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Ann Parish, P.O. Box 247, Raynham Center, MA 02768.

“One night in the early 1980's Jill & myself along with Jeff, Joanie and their respective dates drove up to Framingham to see Rodney Dangerfield at the Chateau de Ville. Right after he came on stage, Rodney asked "How many here from Framingham?" and a number of hands went up. Rodney shook his head as he replied "You city slickers!", and from that point on it was non-stop laughter the rest of the evening. This is how I remember Joanie -- and it really doesn't seem that long ago .... John Hahn”
