She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Nascimento Monteiro and Manuel Eduardo Fontes (Nene); her son Jose Augusto Lopes; her grandson John Lopes; and her siblings, Pedrinho, Yaya, Leon, Fina, Panaxinha and Nhabeira.
She is survived by: her husband Augusto Lopes; and her children, Joao D. Lopes (Rita) of Scituate, Guilhermina Gomes (Milu) of Holland, Maria Gomes (Nhay) of West Bridgewater, Edgar Lopes (Isabel) of Brockton, Emanuel Lopes (Natalia) of Bridgewater, Ramiro Lopes (Sandra) of Florida and Amarildes Fonseca (Terencio) of East Providence. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 27 greatgrandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
