He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Abney and Annie Abney (Walling); and his brother Raymond Abney. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" Abney (Grady) of Raynham; his children, William Abney (Susan) of Wareham, Michael Abney (Lisa) of Dennis, Patricia Pappas (Michael) of Lakeville and Audrey Bumpus (Christopher) of Berkley; and his siblings, Marvin Abney (Margaret) of Arkansas, Herman Abney (Peggy) of Kentucky, Opal Noland (Shannon) of Kentucky and William Abney of Kentucky. He is also survived by "Papa" leaves his 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church in Raynham Center (785 S Main St, Raynham, MA 02767).
