He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Gomes and Hilda Gomes (Gomes); and his sister Betty Gallagher. He is survived by: his wife Janet P. Gomes (Bresciani); his sons, Brian J. Gomes (Joan), Jeffrey M. Gomes (Jennifer Johndrow-Gomes) of Halifax and David P. Gomes of Foxboro; his siblings, David Gomes, Marie Gomes-Raftery, Patricia Caramanica and Michael Gomes; and his grandchildren, Jacob B. Gomes, Victoria M. Gomes, Jason M. Johndrow, Mia E. Gomes and Joseph R. Gomes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
