He was predeceased by: his parents, Avelino Rodrigues and Brazia Andrade. He is survived by: his wife Maria (Dirce); and his children, Melissa, Edson, Kerlin, Timothy and Melinda. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven siblings.
