She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. and Mary C. Coska (Hughes); her husband Lawrence Slaney, Jr.; and her siblings, William "Billy" and Barbara Coska.

She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Askeland of Randolph; her siblings, Nancy St. Ives of Brockton and Paul Coska of Weymouth; her grandson Erik Askeland; and her stepdaughters, Debbie, Donna and Maureen (Arico). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
