He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnston and Louise Johnston; and his brother James Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Johnston; his sisters, Joan Lund, Jane Richardi and Judy Cooke; his children, Anna Jacobs (Ralph) and Joseph Johnston (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Kathryn Cervelli, Jacob Johnston and Joleen Johnston; and his great grandchild Alice Cervelli.
