She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Alves and Irene Alves (O'Neill). She is survived by: her children, Anthony Mavilia (Allison), Jennifer Mavilia and Lisa Mavilia (Chuck); her former husband Anthony J. Mavilia Jr.; her significant other David Ellis; her brothers, John Alves (Laura), James Alves (Trish), Joseph Alves, Michael Alves and Daniel Alves; and her son Josue "J. V.". She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to long-time family friend and neighbor, fallen officer John O'Keefe's family via the Furbush Family Fund.
