He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Shaughnessy and Rita Shaughnessy (Hanrahan); and his brother Robert Shaughnessy. He is survived by: his wife Alice Shaughnessy (Straub); his children, Maura, Scott Hurst of Whitman, Allison, Patrick O'Malley of Duxbury, Christopher, Stephanie Shaughnessy of Norton, James, Ailis O'Malley, Cameron and Andrew Shaughnessy; and his brother Paul Shaughnessy.
