He was predeceased by: his wife Violeta Shyti; and his siblings, Luisa Xhexhi and Vladimir Shyti. He is survived by: his children, Alma Shyti (Ilir Paci) of Sweden, Marsela Doci (Albert) of Quincy and Saimir Shyti of Sweden; his siblings, Ana Janku, Elsa Mako of Albania and Jovan Shyti of Albania; his grandchildren, Geri Paci and Ersi Doci; and his niece Aleketa Apostoli. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
