With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael J. Doherty of Quincy, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John Doherty. He is survived by: his mother Rose Doherty of Quincy; his siblings, John Doherty of Quincy, Susan O'Reilly of Quincy and Linda Vassalli (Stephen) of Braintree; and his nieces and nephews, Shannon, Michael, Allison, Isaac, Victoria, Haley and Jacob.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home - Quincy (785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Saint Ann Parish (757 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170).

My lasting memory of him will be of the last time you guys were at the club and Mike and a niece and nephew stayed at the bar and I logged into YouTube on the TV and we played Springsteen songs all night.
