He is survived by: his mother Catherine Margaret McDermott (Martel); his siblings, Thomas McDermott, Corinne Shea and Richard McDermott; his children, Kelly L. McDermott and James Joseph McDermott IV; and his grandchildren, Maya, Miguel Principe and Athena Ivy. He is also survived by his mother, his siblings and their spouses, his children.
