It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances M. (Flaherty) Shields of Quincy, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Flaherty and Agnes Flaherty (Apostol); her grandson Patrick MacDougall; and her siblings, Stephen Flaherty (late Ann), Paul Flaherty (Mary Ann) of Mississippi and Marie Flaherty.
She is survived by: her husband James Shields; her children, Brian Shields of Quincy, Lauren MacDougall (William) of Hanover, Gregory Shields (Christine) of Quincy and Kerri O'Hare (Christopher) of Quincy; her grandchildren, Connor, Logan, Riley, Finnegan, Mia, Mikey, Leah, Callum, Kieran, Will and Saoirse; and her siblings, Walter Flaherty (Diane) of Nantucket and Barbara Pekenia (John) of Falmouth. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
