He was predeceased by: his spouse Virginia Andrews (West); his parents, Jesse Andrews and Victoria Andrews (Rezendes); and his sister Mary Redfearn of Martinez, GA.. He is survived by: his children, Victoria Mendes (Paul) of Provincetown, Deborah McGonnell (John) of Onset, Michael Andrews (Maria) of Provincetown and David Andrews (Charles Edwards) of Arlington, VA.; and his grandsons, Adam Mendes of Brewster and Joshua Mendes of Provincetown. He is also survived by niece and three nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Provincetown Firemen's Association, 25 Shank Painter Road, Provincetown, MA 02657.
