Kevin J. Silvia Obituary
Kevin J. Silvia of Plymouth died unexpectedly in his home on October 4th. Born in Plymouth on April 19, 1965 son of the late Joseph W. and Jeanette (Dern) Silvia. He was educated in Plymouth and a graduate of Plymouth – Carver High School class of 1983. He went on the join the US Marines serving his country both in active duty and with the reserves until 1990.
Kevin joined the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department in 1988 as a Corrections Officer and later becoming a K9 officer moving up in rank to Lieutenant in 2004. In 2011 he became a Deputy Superintendent until his retirement in August 2021.
Kevin enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golf, hiking, hunting and watching the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his siblings, Laurie Silvia of Wisconsin, , Beth Mazzola of Kingston, David Silvia of Alaska, Wendy Quintal of Plymouth, Holly St. Pierre of Halifax , Cheryl Alusow of Plymouth and the late Joseph W. 'Skip' Silvia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Cartmell- Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 373 Court St. North Plymouth on Thursday October 13th from 4-7 pm. A Private graveside service will take place on Friday at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
