He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Maiona and Katherine Maiona (DiBello); his grandson Aaron Joseph; and his brothers, John and Tony Maiona.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Ann Maiona (Pardo); his children, Joseph R. "Jay" Maiona, Jr. (Gretchen) of Amherst and Jennifer Maiona of Quincy; and his grandchildren, Joseph R. "Trey" Maiona III of Amherst, NH. and Abigail Joan Maiona.
