Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Kearney and Jean Kearney. He is survived by: his wife Jane Simpson; and his siblings, Dennis Kearney (Bernadette), Deborah Kearney, Michael Kearney (Lisa) and Thomas Kearney (Robin). He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ruggiero Family Memorial (971 Saratoga St, Boston, MA 02128). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (45 Brooks St, Boston, MA 02128).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East Boston Athletic Board 20 Thurston St., East Boston.
