He is survived by: his wife Mary Komar Diakiw; his children, Michael Diakiw (Marianne) and Kate Hubley (Peter Karpenski); and his grandchildren, Matthew Hubley and Brooke Hubley (Fred Dery). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cherished friends and family members.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to HospiceCare in the Berkshire in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
