It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Chapman of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in North Adams, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Judson Chapman, Sr. and Marion Felix Chapman; and his brothers, Raymond J. Chapman, Jr., Richard D. Chapman and Robert C. Chapman.
He is survived by: his spouse Joelle F. Calkins; his children, William A. Chapman, Jr. (Cheryl) of Seattle, WA, Gary G. Chapman (Sharon) of Hinsdale, Deborah L. Tyska of Hinsdale and Laurie J. Briggs of New Lebanon; his grandchildren, Bradley W. and Haley Mae Chapman; his great grandchild Joelle M. LaCasse (Max); and also Weston William LaCasse of Windsor. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Due to the Pandemic, the family requests that masks be worn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pittsfield Lodge of Elks # 272 Scholarship Fund, in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME which has been entrusted with Bill's care.
