He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard R. Curtis and Janet Markham Curtis; and his sister Heide Curtis. He is survived by: his son Justin VanAlphen (Ella) of Old Lyme, CT; and his siblings, Holly Smith of Greenville, NC and Trevor A. Curtis of Ashley Falls, MA.. He is also survived by 3 nephews and a great nephew.
