He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Cooper and Mary Jones Cooper; his son James T. Cooper; and his brothers, Andrew and Joel Cooper.
He is survived by: his sons, Walter Cooper, Jr. and Erin Cooper (Heidi); his grandchildren, Celina, Benjamin, Jacob and Lacey; his siblings, Wayne Cooper and Lorraine Losaw; and his sisters-in-law, Ann and Louise Cooper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
