He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Casimer Wiater and Pauline Wiater (Labinowski); his wife Kathleen "Katie" O'Donnell; his daughters, Kelly Brbovic (Brett) of Pittsfield and Erin Kinnas (Brandon) of Pittsfield; and his grandchildren, Carter, Kylan, Mason, Logan, Eliotte, Teagan and Paige.
