He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Dean and Julia Brombach Dean; his wife Mary Fraley; and his siblings, Doris Hogan, Eleanor Wolfer, Florence Belot, Evelyn Maces and Robert Dean, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Mary Beth Collins (Tim), Elizabeth Engels (Steve), Samuel Dean Jr., Mike and Mark; and his grandchildren, Geoffrey Collins (Morgan) and Celina Collins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201, in his memory. Donations CANNOT be made online, but may be made through the Dwyer Funeral Home.
