It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert W. Kirby of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Kirby and Helen Furey Kirby; his children, Amanda C. Osgood (Joshua) of Pittsfield, Katie L. Wells (Steve) of Pittsfield and Thomas J. Kirby of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Brian, Andrew, Nick Pasterczyk, Pailey Kirby, Robert Osgood and Chloe Wells; his great grandchild Maddison; his siblings, Thomas Kirby (Marion) and Elizabeth Kirby of Pittsfield; his brother-in-law Jack Chevalier (Vicki) of Pittsfield; his daughter Melissa Kirby Alyea; and his siblings, Edward Furey, Marilyn Furey and Joan Ryan.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or March of Dimes and mailed to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
