We are sad to announce that on March 28, 2025, at the age of 97, Richard Taikowski of Pittsfield, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Taikowski and Mary Miskowski Taikowski; his son John E. Taikowski; his siblings, Henry W. Taikowski, Stanley W. Taikowski, Joseph F. Taikowski, Edmond Taikowski, Genevieve Vallone, Sophie Vallone and Joan Mogul; and his in-laws, George and Marion Schmich.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Taikowski; his children, Rick Taikowski (Lynne), Randy Taikowski and Pamela Tournier (Chris); his grandchildren, Kate Taikowski Manoni (Justin), Allie Taikowski Daniels (John), Cole Tournier and Cassie Tournier (Ian); and his great grandchild Isabelle.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dwyer Family Funeral Home (776 North St, Pittsfield, MA 01201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dwyer Funeral Home (776 North St, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization dear to Richard's heart.
