He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Richard and Mary L. Faucher Koscher Richard; his wife Bertha Sophie Zuorski; and his siblings, Laura E. Koscher Killeen, Charles A. Koscher, Robert F. Koscher and Abel E. Koscher.
He is survived by: his child Michele A. Rousseau (Peter) of Pittsfield; his grandsons, Adam and Joel; his son Richard E. Koscher, Jr. (Lynn) of Mountain City, TN; his grandchildren, R. Justin and Cara; his son Charles S. Koscher (Kathleen) of Lenox; his grandson Eric; his son Jon P. Koscher (Mary Pat) of Bel Air, MD; his grandchildren, Kristin and Patrick; his daughter Jacqueline A. Meskinis (Philip) of East Bridgewater, MA; his grandson Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Suzuki Rousseau, Jackson Clouse Rousseau, Emerson Rose Koscher and Marin Roshni Koscher-Tripathi.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund Inc. in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
