He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Benson and Marion Benson; his wife Annemarie Oefelein Benson; his daughters, Heidi Benson and Jennifer Buckley; his son-in-law Tom Buckley; his grandchildren, Abigail, Mallory, Chandler McNelis, Siena Buckley and Dalton Buckley; and his brothers, Lawrence Benson and Thomas M. Benson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
