We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2023, at the age of 86, Philip Norman Pomerantz (Pittsfield, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Pomerantz and Ann Pomerantz; and his sister Rhoda Pomerantz Linder. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Paula Waxstein; his children, Deborah, Sarah Pomerantz of Alexandria, VA and David Pomerantz, MD (Maribeth) of Williamstown, MA.; his grandchildren, Molly Almeida, Miriam Pomerantz (Mim) and Adam Pomerantz; his sister-in-law Louise Waxstein Lubin (Hank Lubin); his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Lubin and Hilary Linder Griffith (Brian); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Billy and Addison; his nieces and nephews, Joselin Linder (Aaron Fannin), Samuel Lubin and Joshua Lubin; and his friends, Edward, Ellen Bond and Bob Garabedian.
In Phil's memory, a donation may be made to the Appalachian Mountain Club's Cold River Camp in North Chatham, NH or Chabad of the Berkshires in Pittsfield, MA.
