Nelson Reopell Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2020, at the age of 89, Nelson Reopell of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in North Adams, Massachusetts passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nelson Reopell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Reopell and Caroline Reopell (Dorvillier); and his siblings, Richard, William, Barbara and Larrie Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Reopell (Andrews); his children, Kimberly Reopell Flynn (Bill Foote) of Otis, Jeffrey Reopell (Laurie) of Pittsfield, Michael Reopell (Gina) of North Adams and Russell Reopell of Falls Church, VA.; and his grandchildren, Nicole, Brian, Alison, Kristopher, Jason and Renee. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Due to the COVID-19 circumstances, private services will be held in the spring time and burial will take place in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the FLYNN & DAGNOLI –MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS-CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.

“Joan, We are so sorry to hear of Nelson's passing and extend to you our deepest sympathies. He was certainly a great guy with a great sense of humor. We know he will be greatly missed by your wonderful family, as well as many of us at 351. The old gang seems to be disappearing too fast. Take care and we'll keep you in our prayers. Bob and Sue Nupp”
