He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Potts and Jacqueline Hamilton Potts; and his wife Susan M. Lingoski. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen M. Abruzi (Brian) of Tewksbury, MA and Jennifer M. Potts of Pittsfield, MA; his brothers, Bernard Potts, Larry Potts, Corey Potts and Richard Potts; and his grandchildren, Hannah Potts, Caleb Potts, Cole Abruzi and Lucy Potts.
