He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Polidoro and Shirley Polidoro; his father-in-law William Gardner of Franklin; and his sister-in-law Bridget Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gardner; his children, Tonia M. Depson (Eric) of Pittsfield, Nicole A. Polidoro of Pittsfield and Jason M. Polidoro (Dana Krupinski) of Malibu, CA; his stepchildren, Alyssa A. Capitanio of Pittsfield, Hayley N. Duffy of Pittsfield and Stephen E. Capitanio (Ashley Winters) of Bunnlevel, NC.; his siblings, Thomas Polidoro (Constance) of St. Augustine, FL, Gail Peterson (James) of Brattleboro, VT, Judy Bernardo (Michael) of Pittsfield, Cindy Polidoro (Don Surnier) of Pittsfield, Ricky Polidoro of Pittsfield, Sharon Polidoro (Richard Pidgeon) of Pittsfield, Geoffrey Polidoro (Mary) of Larkspur, CO, Diane Miller (Paul) of Loudonville, NY and Sandy Graves (Ken) of Clifton Park, NY; and his parents-in-law, Patricia Gardner of Dalton and Thomas Gardner (Jennifer) of Cortlandt Manor, NY.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Michael's life will be determined at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Iron Mike Polidoro Memorial Scholarship, which will help those who want to pursue an education in the fire sciences and other public services.
