Mary A. Carhart Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary A. Carhart of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on January 26, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lambert and Emma Brooks Lambert; her daughter Deborah A. Smachetti of Belchertown, MA; her son-in-law John B. Fantauzzi of Malta, NY; and her brothers, John (Jack), Joseph and Robert Lambert.
She is survived by: her husband Randall O. Carhart; her children, Kevin J. (Colleen), John R. (Denise), Randall O., Jr. (Cherryl) and Kathy M. Fantauzzi of Malta, NY; and her son-in-law Michael A. Smachetti of Belchertown, MA.. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A public celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date, when Covid restrictions are lifted and all are able to safely gather.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary's favorite charity, Soldier On in Pittsfield MA, or any number of dementia related charities, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Donations CANNOT be made online, but may be made through the Dwyer Funeral Home.
