With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John H. Helfer Jr. of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 9, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Helfer, Sr. and Theresa Klink Helfer; his wife Karen Lee; and his sister Priscilla Shepherd. He is survived by: his children, Troy Michael and Tina Marie; his grandson Richard Rodriguez, Jr.; and his sisters, Theresa Ann Hillman of Gardner, MA and Claudette Skumin of Lanesboro, MA. He is also survived by many nieces, and great nieces and nephews.
